Karl Lagerfeld for Macy’s

The highly anticipated line of Karl Lagerfeld debuts August 31st. The last line he did, for H&M sold out within a couple of weeks. This picture is from August Vogue, showing one of the Macy’s collection dresses. Lagerfeld said he was inspired by the Chloe dresses he became well known for in the 70’s.

Colombiamoda 2011

This is one of the biggest spectacles in Latin America. It has been around for 21 years, and every year it grows a little bit more. People from all over the world come to this innovative event which takes place in Medellin, Colombia. Not only is there fashion but also, there are new ideas for business. Obsessed! 

Having lived in one of the States which was brutally attacked the morning of September 11, 2001, I can say that the death of Osama Bin Laden brings me a little bit of closure. Apart from having lived and grown up in New York, I also lost my close friend, Daniel Fuentes, at the war which followed this devastating day. Hopefully all of our soldiers will be able to come home soon and I pray that there will be no more attacks following this event.  On September 11, 2001, in our time of grief, the American people came together. We offered our neighbors a hand, and we offered the wounded our blood. We reaffirmed our ties to each other, and our love of community and country. On that day, no matter where we came from, what God we prayed to, or what race or ethnicity we were, we were united as one American family. RIP my dear friend, Daniel Fuentes, and all the people which perished on this 9/11 day.
